Interoperability
Enterprises don’t get to choose one tool. They have Apigee and Kong, Backstage and internal portals, Entra and Okta, REST and Kafka. Any solution that doesn’t integrate with what’s already deployed is dead on arrival. Interoperability is the minimum bar for enterprise adoption.
- Must integrate with existing API governance tooling (42 Crunch, Apigee, Spectral, Stoplight)
- Must work with existing identity providers (Entra, Okta) including emerging agent identity patterns
- Must integrate with existing catalogs (Backstage, Kong, internal portals)
- Must support multi-protocol environments (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, WebSockets, SSE)
- Must discover and integrate with distributed/shadow API gateways (AWS API Gateway, etc.)
